With the business of car subscriptions getting bigger and the market more competitve, many of the vehicle subsription suppliers are contacting the team to work out ways of promoting their business to appear above others in the results.
Whilst we have tried to keep ADVERTISING down to a minimum, with many of the providers supplying us with blog posts or paying for advertising, as a team we have decided to trial the use of affiliate marketing links to allow the provider to show as a sponsored listing.
This will mean that providers who participate in this scheme, will be shown on the home page and may appear more relevant in the listings on the various pages.
They won’t have banner adverts unless they opt for this and the articles are still based on existing advertising opportunities.
What this means for Consumers
For consumers, this may mean that vehicle subscription providers may show over others listed on the website. Many of the other comparison websites run “auctions” for the top spaces.
Our system will work that the companies that offer us affiliate links will be more prominent on the website and we will show disclaimer to state that should you go ahead with one of the subscription services with your chosen company, we may receive a commission.
To avoid us getting a fee for this, we would recommend that you use the car-subscriptions.co.uk website for your research and then use Google to find the relevant company, to sign up.
Improvements to our website
We’ve already invested thousands of pounds into our website, from provisioning faster webservers to CDN’s so that customers overseas have a better experience.
We have also trialled our Car Subscription Deals section where many of the providers feed their latest subscription deals into the website, it is a great way to compare many of the companies in the UK.
Why are we telling you this?
When we set up the website, we wanted this website to be a non-stop shop for those customers or business owners to help them choose a car subscription.
Thousands of people use the website on a monthly basis and read our articles to help them choose which service to subscribe to.
We want to tell our readers that we’re changing our model slightly to provide a better experience but based on companies sponsoring their listings.
Our comparison page will remain as is, no provider can “bump” up their listings, but other sections of the website may change in appearance.
