With the recent announcement of Cazoo pulling out of the vehicle subscription business, due to popular demand, today we’re going to take a quick look at the alternatives.
Cazoo Ends Subscription Service
As part of an investor call on the 7th June 2022, Alex Chesterman the Cazoo founder, laid out his plans to secure the future of Cazoo. Part of this is the car subscription sector which is reported to tie up over £90m of cash.
The positives to Cazoo, is that as these subscriptions come to a natural end, they will have a nice steady influx of used cars to retail.
What will happen to my Cazoo Car Subscription at the end?
We’re unsure of all of the finer details at the moment, but we understand from the founders investor call, that the car subscription scheme will close to new subscribers towards the end of June. We’re unsure whether or not existing clients can extend their current vehicles or step into new subscriptions, we will keep our ears to the ground and report via our news sections.
Update. (4th July 2022) Cazoo have updated their website with details on the closure of it’s car subscription program and what will happen to existing vehicles and customers. More can be found here: Cazoo Subscription Update
