For those serious mile crunchers in an electric car, sitting at charging stations is a regular haunt and as more EV’s hit the roads, waiting time before and during a charge has increased slightly. But we have decided to list the top 5 things you could do whilst you’re waiting for your battery to top up.
Top 5 Things to do whilst your EV is charging
Learn about something new
Many people say how important it is to learn someting new everyday, so we take the time to see what the latest article is on Wikipedia and then worm ourself from subject-to-subject absorbing all of the new input that our brains can manage. Wanted to learn a new skill, fire up YouTube and find out some new kitchen hacks or learn a new way of tying your shoes.
Contact a loved one
Baz Luhrmann spoke a few home truths in the song ‘Everybody’s free to wear sunscreen’ – Including “Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for good” – So pick up your smartphone and Facetime or Whatsapp your parents, relative or friend that you haven’t spoken to in a while.
Get some exercise
With most electric cars we have driven, we’re usually at charging points for around 30 minutes. Enough time for a brisk stroll or if you are feeling up for it, a jog. 30 minutes of walking each day can really improve your health. Don’t forget to monitor your activity on your smartphone or Apple Watch.
Relax and be calm
Take some time out and relax, push your seat back and fire up one of the many relaxation or calm apps available in the App Stores from Apple or Google. For those with the latest iPhones, Apple has built in some very calming background sounds including Ocean, Rain and Stream.
