Over recent weeks, we’ve received a number of enquiries from customers all asking the same thing: Is Drive Fuze still operating? One concerned customer told us:
“I’m currently with Drive Fuze and we’ve got two cars with them. They’ve been offering a great deal — £400 per month including insurance — but now they’re suddenly recalling and ending leases on all their vehicles. Whether they’re going bust or not, I don’t know. It all feels a bit random.”
So, What’s Going On?
At the time of writing, the Drive Fuze website is still live — but it’s only advertising one vehicle, a Vauxhall Corsa GS. Their blog hasn’t been updated in quite some time, and the last piece of news we received suggested they were “targeting growth” as “momentum builds in the subscriptions market”.
However, according to one of our industry contacts, Drive Fuze is currently “putting their subscriptions on hold”, which may explain why customers are seeing their vehicles recalled.

Are Car Subscriptions in Trouble?
Drive Fuze isn’t the only company facing challenges in the car subscription sector. Over the past 24 months, several firms have either closed down or significantly scaled back. One of the most well-known examples is Drover, which was offering vehicles at unsustainable prices — sometimes less than the cost of putting the cars on the road — while relying heavily on outside investment. Eventually, Drover was acquired by Cazoo, and we all know how Alex Chesterman’s retail-fuelled venture ended.
So, are car subscriptions no longer viable?
